AVI30419 - Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot)
Skills Compliance is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO number 41382) registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and CASA.
Qualification Description
The AVI30419 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) is a comprehensive course that gives students the skills to operate drones safely and effectively in commercial settings. As drone technology continues to revolutionise industries worldwide, this qualification positions students well for future employment opportunities across sectors such as agriculture, media, construction, and more. By completing this course, students can gain the hands-on experience and regulatory knowledge necessary to pursue a career as a professional drone pilot.
This course assists individuals seeking to operate remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and national operating standards. Remote pilots operating at this level will apply non-technical and technical knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy and judgement and will take limited responsibility in known and stable operational contexts within established regulatory parameters.
Remote pilot duties include applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge within RPAS operational environments. This qualification forms the minimum requirements for certification by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) as described in Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) Part 101 Division 101.F.3—Remote pilot licenses.
Civil and military personnel seeking certification as remote pilots should check requirements with CASA. Licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at time of publication.
